Home ownership is harder than ever.

Wellington homelessness was at record highs. And a big problem, needed a larger-than-life solution. (Possibly) the world’s biggest ownership deed, Wellington’s Greatest Deed turned a billboard into a live, living document that anyone can sign by helping to support the build of Whakamaru: Wellington City Mission’s transformative new community housing initiative.
As a building owned by Wellingtonians in support of Wellingtonians, donors can have their ownership repped for all to see on this larger-than-life legal document, before it took pride of place within the building itself.
The project was kicked off by New Zealand legend Sir Ashley Bloomfield, who abseiled down to be first to sign his name. Getting front-page and prime-time exposure for the cause. Updated weekly, hundreds added their names and support to The Deed. Helping Whakamaru to open it’s doors debt-free.

More names were added each week, as donations flowed.

Earning front-page and prime-time features, hundreds added their names and support. Helping Whakamaru to open its doors, debt-free.
